Spider Snacks

No, it's not Halloween today, but wanna know what it is today? It's "I" week in kindergarten which means the little diva of the family needed to bring something that started with the letter "I" to school for her shown n' tell day. She is also very particular about the things she will bring. We need to be certain that someone else isn't going to bring the same thing or the world might end. My first thought of course was to make an igloo out of sugar cubes, but that didn't fly. 5 yr olds these days seem to have a mind of their own.

So, what do spiders have to do with the letter "I"? Well these aren't just any spiders, they are itsy bitsy spiders! Ok, so maybe itsy isn't really a real word, but they aren't too strict in kindy.

Put this idea away for Halloween, or make them for snack time today. Any day is a good day to eat a spider!

What you will need:
- Ritz crackers
- Peanut butter or cheese spread
- Pretzel sticks
- Mini M&Ms

Spread some PB or cheese spread on a cracker, stick 4 pretzel sticks on each side for the legs, put a little spread on your top cracker to glue things together then use spread to glue on your M&M eyes.
Chill in the fridge for 30 mins so that when the little people pick them up they don't fall apart.

Easy, fun and the kids can help!

This guy with the red eyes is my personal favorite. Doesn't he look ominous?
