When Janice Agar, from Plum Project Studio, contacted me about being a sponsor I couldn't believe that I hadn't come across her shop before. I like to think that I'm in the know when it comes to online fabric shopping, especially Canadian shops, so was surprised when I clicked on the link to her store. Her shop is fantastic! I promise you that you are going to love it! I'm not just saying that because she is our newest sponsor (FTR you will never find a shop advertised here that I don't think is fabulous- I stand behind all of my sponsors)!
Plum Project Studio doesn't carry the most mainstream fabrics that you are sure to find in most fabric shops. What they do carry is the largest selection of organic and fair trade fabrics that I have come across anywhere. For those of us that are concerned especially with the things we put close to our children, and may worry about those around the world being given fair wages during the production process, look no further!
These fabrics from the Circa 50 fabric Collection from Birch Fabrics I think are some of my favorites. Click to view them closer, the vehicle print is adorable! Also, 100% organic, what's not to love?
Plum Project Studio doesn't just carry fabric and sewing notions, they also have a big selection of yarn for all of us that love to crochet or knit.
This be sweet bambino yarn is 70% organic cotton and 30% bamboo. Just beautiful!
You can also find a large selection of patterns as well as knitting, crocheting and sewing kits.
I love the fabrics used in this kit to make an envelope pillow cover.
Plum project Studios also has a brick and mortar store. There you can also rent studio time where you are able to use their workstations equipped with sewing machines and sergers They also have several sewing, knitting and crocheting classes happening often. If you are lucky enough to live in the Vancouver, British Columbia area you should check them out. The next time I am in Vancouver I will definitely be stopping by! My idea of some fantastic "me" time. Total heaven in a store!

Ohhhh, I'm a sucker for free shipping deals in Canada, especially when it comes to great fabrics! I'll be taking a look pronto!
ReplyDeleteOh my they have circa 50! Ahhh, I feel a credit card accident coming on.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I made that very same sweater in the brick and mortar store picture. It was so super easy and gratifying.
I am going to be in uh oh big bad trouble if we move to Vancouver next year.
