Oh So Sassy Sponsor Feature, Review and Giveaway!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow Canadian friends! :) We had our big dinner yesterday and it was fabulous! I can't wait for the leftovers tonight. Turkey Tex Mex soup is on the menu. A must share recipe, it is SO good and such an awesome way to eat turkey leftovers. I'm going to have to share it with you one of these days, but not today. :)
She sure did look adorable yesterday, don't you think?
Recently the Train to Crazy had a sew-a-long with this sweet little dress from Oh So Sassy. I didn't receive the fabric I had ordered in time, but recently had a chance to sew one of these dresses up.
This dress was made from Oh So Sassy's Daphne Pattern. You can find Oh So Sassy on Etsy. It is a shop that sells boutique patterns as well as sewing kits. Have you ever purchased a DIY sewing kit? Michelle, of Oh So Sassy creates her kits with the busy mom in mind. You pick the dress you love and your kit will come to you with all notions required to make that dress and all fabric precut for you! You just need to do the fun part, the actual sewing!
Back to our pattern...
Michelle's patterns are hand drawn with sketched photos. I found her pattern easy to understand and put together. Even though I have several peasant top/dress patterns already I love the variations on her pattern that make it different from the typical peasant dress. The contrasting ruffle sleeves and neck, dropped waist skirt and tie back are adorable!
You can find the Daphne dress in her shop, as well as these adorable dresses...
Go on over to Oh So Sassy and come back and let me know what your favorite dress is. One winner will win one of Oh So Sassy's PDF patterns!
If you join the Oh So Sassy facebook page, let me know in another comment and you will get a second entry!
Giveaway closes Friday October 15th 7PM PST
For this week, if you purchase a kit or PDF pattern from Oh So Sassy, tell Michelle you read this blog in the comments section at checkout and you will be refunded 10%!
