I haven't mentioned it on the blog, but I've been a bit under the weather as of late. Some of you may remember me mentioning that I had pneumonia in November. Well, I haven't been the same since. It seems it irritated my asthma and at the moment it is quite uncontrolled, and has been for the past three months. I'm having a particularly difficult week and am going to lay low for a few days.
I'm ok though and will be back soon when I can take a deep breath! :)

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well! Get better soon. I may go through some withdrawals without having your blog to read! :) You surely deserve to rest a bit.
ReplyDeleteP.S. For all who responded to the sew-a-long that they would like to see more projects for boys, be sure to check out MADE. They are having a whole month called Celbrate The Boy. Dana did this last year too and it was great! Here is the link http://www.dana-made-it.com/2008/07/celebrate-boy-part-2.html

ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better soon. My husband also got sick in November and hasn't been able to kick it either. It's a bad one! If you need a break in "balmy" Vancouver, we have lots of room and 3 kids the same ages and gender as yours. Could be fun ;o). Take care.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!

ReplyDeleteHi, I don't usually comment....but I really enjoy your blog. I hope you feel better soon. I'm an asthmatic - have been since childhood and a medication I'm using now has significantly helped me return to a normal lifestyle. It's called Symbicort - it has a steroid (budesonide) and a long term beta-blocker (which is just a longer acting version of a rescue inhaler). If nothing else is working for you, you may want to check with your doctor on it. It's pretty expensive but the doctors usually have tons of samples that they're willing to give you - at least mine does as I don't have insurance. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I know how difficult it can be, I'm pregnant right now and can't use the Symbicort while the baby's in me and I'm suffering right along with you.

Christine - sorry that you're feeling under the weather. I'm also an asthmatic and had pneumonia back in 2009 and it really took a toll on my asthma. For a few months I was on two different inhalers PLUS steroids, but made it "out" of that and am feeling much better since. In fact I even started running in 2010 and rarely even have to use my "rescue" inhaler. I hope your illness passes soon!!!
ReplyDeleteI can relate as well. Take the time to heal and take care of yourself! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh Christine, I hope you feel better soon....I was sick for 2 months also thru the Holidays. It was the pits! Allow yourself to stop and get some rest girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteThis is really interesting and wonderful post, keep up the good job!
