Sew-A-Long Interruption

If you’re keeping up with the sew-a-long and read my post yesterday, you know that I was having issues with photo storage.

Thank you to sweet Charity who commented letting me know about Windows Live Writer. It’s awesome! If you have a blog, you should try it.

That said, that is all I had time for. To figure it all out (I still haven't completely figured it out). I still do have a hemming tip for you, but that will have to wait until the weekend. We have a really busy day today.

You know, I just realized though that I didn’t share anymore with you about my now 7 yr old’s, sniff, candy themed birthday party.
Like usual, we went home made on the cake.
There actually is cake in there!

I first saw the idea HERE.
If you missed it, check out THIS post for free candy themed birthday printables. :)

Hmmmm...anyone know how I can get my signature to stay in Live Writer?

  1. I don't know, but if I did, I'd consider using one. I've blogged with live writer for ages and i love it, when it first came out it was night and day to using the blogger platform. Whaaat, I can move photos around without messing things up completely? AMAZING! :D

  3. I love this cake! My girls would sooo freak out over this!
O.K. so for your signature, I don’t know if this is the best way but here is what I do. I saved the image of my signature into the My Pictures folder on my computer. Then I have to actually insert it as a picture onto the bottom of each post that I write. I don’t know if this is the best way but it works for me. To make life easier, my My Pictures folder is super organized. I have folders for family stuff and a separate big folder named Sewing. Under my sewing folder I have sub-folders named after each project: Ice Cream Dress, Carmen’s Tunic, etc. That way I know right were everything is and I don’t have to dig through family photos at all and I can look under specific thing I have made and want to post about. Because I use my signature picture every time, I just have it on its own in the main Sewing folder and not in a sub-folder. That way it is super easing to grab and insert. O.K. one last thing. When you insert pictures in Windows Live Writer it usually creates a drop shadow behind each picture. I like this effect for my photos but I don’t like how it looks with my signature because I want it to look like I just signed the post and I don’t want the box around it. This is super easy to edit. First insert your signature picture into your post. Then click on it and the photo editing tab will open on the right. Under the section that says Borders, click on none. Viola the drop shadow disappears! I hope this helps and sorry for being so wordy. 
Have a great weekend! We finally start Spring Break today, yippee!
